The Office of management of international projects (OGPI) of the University of Alicante participates in this European project whose objective is to develop Tools that allow an adequate collaboration between research organisations and companies in the agri-food sector.
Today, interactions with companies in the agri-food sector research organizations are rare and random and the transfer of knowledge is often hampered by a "traditional mentality".
The objective of this project lies in the creation of a series of tools that will help different organisms of research to effectively communicate the results of their research to your target audience, the companies, which will assess the potential of new knowledge and monitoring of the same when applied.
The Consortium that is part of this project, is composed of 9 institutions from 7 countries of the European Union.
To carry out this project, first of all both sources of funding that support, have been identified as obstacles that hinder the transfer of knowledge through conducting 180 interviews with subject matter experts, selected from among researchers and entrepreneurs.
Subsequently, to achieve the desired objectives, a series of documents have been created:
A practical toolkit of knowledge transfer for researchers and industrial SMEs, which provides specific information on funding opportunities and which covers all the stages of the transfer process.
A complete set of training modules for researchers, SMEs and technology transfer professionals vital points that may facilitate the application of knowledge in the society and university cooperation - oriented company such as: use of management systems of quality, exploitation of industrial property, development of knowledge to the proof-of-concept (proof of concept) phase and the evaluation of the potential application of a technology.
